In order to better reach the health resort of Arosa, the railway line between Chur and Arosa was created between 1912 and 1914 - including this impressive viaduct. The narrow-gauge line still leads over the viaduct today.

Worth a hike even in winter. From Arosa, take a leisurely downhill route via Litzirütli to Langwies. Beautiful view of the largest structure on the Arosa Line, the 284 meter long and 62 meter high Langwieser Viaduct: at the time of its construction it was the most important reinforced concrete structure in Switzerland and is still an impressive appearance today.
