Winter hiking trail Langwies through the Sapün Valley up to Heimeli

From Langwies, hike through the Sapün Valley up to Heimeli and then sled back down to the valley.

From Langwies, the trail leads up through the wild and romantic valley, through deep gorges, over high bridges, past large icicles and a rushing stream. As soon as the trail emerges from the forest, you walk through a beautiful valley towards the hamlet of Sapün: an old, charming Walser village. It's worth pausing for a moment to admire the beautiful houses. After the village, the trail continues through the valley, past small hamlets. The final section is a bit strenuous and steep, but you soon reach the Heimeli mountain inn.
