    History

    1585 Arrival of the Jesuits in Gdańsk.
    1592 Foundation document of the famous college.
    1615 Construction of the first church below Radunia. 1620-first buildings of the College.
    1656 Church fire - Second Swedish War.
    1676 Construction of the second church - current location.
    1677 John III Sobieski visits the college.
    1687-89 Construction of a new boarding school.
    1722-26 Reconstruction of the church.
    1747-55 Further work on the expansion of the church.
    1777 Construction of the "old" bell tower.
    1781 Erection of the junior high school where Józef Wybicki - creator of the National Anthem "Poland has not yet perished" - was educated.
    1807-13 Damage to the church, loss of both towers.
    1826 Demolition of the college, on whose foundations it was built in 1827. the current rectory.

    1961-66 The church receives a fireproof tabernacle, renovation of altar paintings, laying of a plaque on the 1000th anniversary of the baptism of Poland.
    1967 Church heating (with oil).
    1976 The new parish priest is the dean of the Gdańsk I deanery - Fr. Władysław Żywiński.
    1976 Beginning of major renovation and conservation of the historic interior of the sacristy. Efforts to obtain technical documentation and conservation work to dehumidify the foundation walls of the church.
    1977 Renovation of the front façade of the church. Conservation and painting works.
    1987 Parish Priest Fr. Henryk Kilaczyński
    in 2004, the parish numbered over 10,000. faithful
