The former sandstone quarries in Kuhedorf are now a designated geotope and landscape protection area. The quarry, which is 250 meters long, 200 meters wide and 10 meters high, is freely accessible and in good condition. But above all, he is really old. The area and its stone deposits date back to the Upper Triassic (around 200 to around 230 million years ago).
