The unusual name of the stone comes from a legend: two giants, one on the Eisenberg, the other on the Herzberg, got into an argument and pelted each other with stones - but they missed their target. And so the boulder, the so-called Pöbelstein, is still relatively far away from the Herzberg in the forest. The traces of the giant claws can still be seen today in the form of deep furrows.
