The peak most loved and known by the people of Brescia. Its peak, located between Val Trompia and Lake Iseo, is easily recognizable even from the plain. The surrounding area is full of paths that allow you to reach almost 2,000 meters above sea level.
A curiosity: the toponym "Guglielmo" actually derives from a translation error: the original term comes from the Lombard word "gölem" – erroneously translated into "Guglielmo" – which in turn derives from the Latin "culmen", or "culmination" .

Too bad you can see very well Monte Baldo but not Lake Garda. It would have been spectacular to see Lake Iseo and Garda from the same point. Just to find fault with something near perfect...

Starting from Cimmo we will have to face a rather long but very scenic route with a considerable difference in height to overcome (16.2 km and 1.150 m). If we want a shorter itinerary and with less height difference we can start from Pezzoro (10km and 1.000m) while the climb from Zone is the one with a greater length (19km and 1.300m).
In the presence of snow it is better to go up from Zone as starting from Cimmo or Pezzoro we will have to overcome the steepest stretch in the shade with abundant snow.
