Monte Crociglia, 1,578 m a.s.l., also known locally as Monte dell’Angelo, is a wide, grassy mountain that rises on the watershed between the Aveto and Nure valleys, just north of the pass of the same name.
The large statue of the angel placed at the summit is also a place for reflection; four steles on the sides of the pedestal commemorate the war dead from the nearby village of Torrio and the victims of the mountain, including the unfortunate ones from Pizzo Palù and Brentei.
