The church building is a relatively new structure from 1937 and was placed on the state monument list by the Saxon Monument Protection Authority on the basis of the Saxon Monument Protection Act because of its special appearance both outside and inside. It is a church in a clear, functional style (reinforced concrete skeleton construction), built under the direction of the architect Oswin Hempel.

Inside, the hall forms an almost traditional church room with an organ gallery on the south side.
