The Palazzo Littorio is also called Casa del Fascio and was built in 1925 and inaugurated in 1927. The building shows the taste and stylistic elements of the time. A second building built in 1929 by the same architect and standing right next to it was called Palazzo delle Corporazioni. In 1939 a third building was built that connected the two adjacent buildings. It became a unity using the monumental Littoria Tower in the rationalist style. After the Second World War, the Guardia di Finanza found a home here.

The former Casa del Fascio, also called Palazzo Littorio, is located in the centre of Grosseto, in Piazza del Popolo. The palace is a hybrid example of Italian eclecticism and rationalism, typical of the twenty years of fascism, and forms the south side of Piazza del Popolo, between the Rimembranza bastion and the Porta Nuova gate. The site where the building stands was crossed by a section of the Medici Walls of Grosseto, which were demolished between 1939 and 1941. It houses the headquarters of the Guardia di Finanza in Grosseto.
