Hiking
The church is named after the Miesericordia brotherhood of the same name, which was based here in Grosseto. The oratory of San Leonardo from the mid-12th century once stood here and was attached to a hospital but was demolished in 1844. Before that, the Templars left the complex after the order was dissolved in 1312 and the buildings fell into disrepair. In the second half of the 16th century a restoration was carried out and in the 17th century the Misericordia resumed their activity here. In 1854 the Misericordia were elevated to an archconfraternity.
