Hiking
Road workers accidentally discovered a mass grave nearby in the late 1970s.
According to historian Kris Merckx, who grew up near the site of the mass grave, there is a connection between the grave and the old hamlet of Ranshoven. "The grave was found in an open field. It contained about 10 to 15 skeletons. A village with a church, a brewery, and several houses used to stand there."
