The Hosteturm in Kahren is a lookout point and serves as a water supply. On the highest elevation between Leuk and Moselle, the 435 m high Hosteberg, there is a flood tank built in 1911/12 for the former Saarburg district waterworks. The water reservoir and the observation tower are listed in the Trier-Saarburg district register of monuments. The water comes from the Mannebach valley and supplies the surrounding communities.
