The church is dedicated to the archangel Michael and is the parish church of Montecopiolo.The church was originally built in the 12th century, but was extensively renovated in the 16th century. The facade of the church is in Romanesque style, with a round arch portal and a rose window. The interior of the church has a single nave, with a semicircular apse. The church houses a number of works of art, including a 16th-century painting of Our Lady of the Rosary and a 17th-century sculpture of St. Michael the Archangel.
