The Ortler (Italian Ortles) is 3905 m above sea level, according to Austrian surveys 3899 m above sea level. A.,[1] the highest point in the Italian province of South Tyrol and the Tyrol region. The heavily glaciated mountain, mostly made up of main dolomite, is the main peak of the Ortler Alps, a mountain range in the southern eastern Alps. His first ascent on the orders of Archduke Johann of Austria in 1804 is one of the most important mountaineering events of that time.

high mountains! Extremely great and majestic landscape. Probably the most beautiful panoramic trail in South Tyrol leads from the Kanzel mountain station to the "Düsseldorfer Hütte" or the "Kälberalm".
