An old village fountain reminds us of the water supply from earlier times.

Brünn is a part of the Lower Franconian town of Ebern in the Haßberge district.

The village is located in the eastern part of the district. The Brünner Dorfbach, which flows into the Baunach, flows through the village. Rauheneck Castle is located about two kilometers southeast of the village, on the western foothills of the 431 meter high Haubeberg. The district roads HAS 48, from Bramberg to Kraisdorf, and HAS 49, from Hohnhausen to Fischbach, lead through Brünn.

The place name Drünn probably goes back to the location near a strong spring, Brunnen.

Brünn was first mentioned indirectly in 1126 with "Herolt de Brunnen" as a witness in a Banz document. The next mention followed in 1231 in a deed of gift from the Würzburg prince-bishop Hermann, with the local nobles "Jutta uxor Heinrici de Brunnen" as witnesses. In 1232 there was a mention in the partition document of the Würzburg bishop Hermann, in which Ebern was separated from the parish of Pfarrweisach and "Brunen" remained with the mother church of Pfarrweisach. In 1244 Ludewicus de Ruhenecke gave the Würzburg bishop goods in "Brunne".
In the middle of the 16th century, Brünn was a village of joint heirs. A third of the village belonged to the Bishopric of Würzburg, the rest to the Duke of Saxony and Franconian imperial knights of the knightly canton of Baunach. These included the Lords of Lichtenstein, Altenstein and Rotenhan. In 1770, Brünn had 75 inhabitants and in 1830 110 inhabitants, of whom 87 were Protestant.

In 1950, the village had 259 inhabitants and 30 residential buildings. It continued to belong to the Catholic parish in Pfarrweisach and the Protestant parish in Eyrichshof. In 1954, the community ceremoniously opened a new schoolhouse. In 1956, the old schoolhouse was inaugurated as the "farmer's house" after being remodeled. In 1961, Brünn had 173 inhabitants and 31 residential buildings. In 1970, there were 144 and in 1987 118 inhabitants and 30 residential buildings with 34 apartments.

On July 1, 1972, Brünn was incorporated into Ebern. At the same time, as part of the regional reform, the town was transferred from the dissolved district of Ebern to the new Haßberg district.

In 1976, a kindergarten was opened in the former school building from 1954.
