Anyone who is on the World Heritage Trail should definitely go over the Hals. The official route goes down in the valley next to the Fladnitz. The path over the Hals is an unmarked path, but it is easy to walk.
When you are on this path, you are immersed in another world. You have the feeling that you are suddenly on a Mediterranean island. A beautiful and bizarre landscape at the same time.
At the "Hals junction" you come back to the World Heritage Trail.
This section of the path is highly recommended. You can hardly stop being amazed!!

Hiking
You can hike up there on the Grad as an extension of the Göttweiger Mountain, and at times you feel like you've been transported to another world because the vegetation up there "feels" somehow different. I don't understand why the World Heritage Trail isn't up there leads down next to the Fladnitz.
