Dionysos Village Abandoned Resort

A must-see if you like lost places. We were there in May 2024 and it looked much more run down than two years before. The atmosphere is very special, as only a few houses are inhabited. Some travel portals even still offer accommodation in the village. Lots of descriptions online, but I liked the detailed and richly illustrated page we-travel.at/lost-place-dionysos-village the best.

This complex is a “ghost town”, a “lost place”.Renovated houses stand next to run-down and dilapidated houses. We met a man who had bought an apartment there and now lives there with 24 other people.The “inner” hotel complex with pool, common areas, fitness studio and pharmacy is abandoned and tightly locked. Every now and then you see doors open and you can take a look inside. Out of respect for the local residents and because everyone is friendly and open to tourists, please do not destroy anything or force your way into anything. There is enough to see on the huge complex. We were there for over 2 hours and didn't see everything.There has been nothing going on here since 2018. Even before that, some of the private apartments were already in a dilapidated condition, but Corona finally broke the neck of the former hotel owner.
