Nakhon Sawan is where two rivers meet—the Ping and the Nan—merging to form the mighty Chao Phraya River, Thailand’s most important waterway. At this confluence, the distinct colors of the rivers are often visible, with one appearing reddish and the other green, creating a striking natural spectacle. This meeting point, known locally as Pak Nam Pho, has long held cultural and historical significance, symbolizing abundance and connectivity in Thai tradition.
There is a nice visitor center here and a building sized sculpture at the point the rivers meet. There is a small entry fee payable to the security guard.
