The "twenty-first" mill already existed at the end of the 16th century as a gunpowder mill.

In 1636, the estate was purchased by the Uphagen family. In the 17th century, another stream from the neighboring valley was led here through an artificial canal to strengthen the reservoir. The mill produced gunpowder until 1822, when the already ruined plant was purchased from the Uphagens by Salamon Möske and converted it into a grain mill, which was in operation until the first half of the 20th century.

In the neighborhood there used to be a one-story brick house from 1800.

Description of the condition from 1956 F. Mamuszka, J. Stankiewicz: A drained pond, a broken dam and a destroyed culvert have been preserved. To the west of the road connecting mill XXI with mill XV, around 1800 there was a pond, now drained. There are no traces of the dam or mill.

Some time after World War II, it was converted into a residential building, which was still inhabited in the early 1980s.

Currently, there are no traces of a culvert or dam, and in the place of the former mill pond, the Powder Stream meanders beautifully to join the Oliwa Stream.

The two-story, half-timbered mill building still stands at ul. Kościerska No. 10. It was partially secured (2005) and, like the former mill estate, it serves as a base for the Zoo.
