The Mound City Group is the only fully restored Hopewell earthwork complex. With 25 earthen mounds of various sizes, it's simply a national treasure. Here, you can get a sense of serenity and ponder what it was like to gather at a Hopewell ceremonial site two thousand years ago. The monument area is about 260 meters across and has an area of 6.81 hectares (16.8 acres). It is a beautiful area to visit.
