The Rockport South Woods is a large swath of protected lands in the center of Rockport. There are popular hiking, running, and mountain biking trails through this attractive forests. Believe it or not, the South Woods are also a very popular rock climbing spot; there are large granite boulders strewn about, which also speak to Rockport's history as a granite quarry town.
