Perito Moreno is not to be confused with the famous ice cream parlor. The latter is located much further south. It is a “crossroads” city, where you can stop off to go to different directions of the country. Its proximity to the great Lake Buenos Aires makes its climate a little milder than in other parts of the province of Santa Cruz. The place is still very deserted. This is the encounter with the pampas. Along the road between the lake in the west and the town you can encounter small armadillos.
