The 31 meter high lighthouse of Botafoch was built in 1861 and is the most famous of Ibiza Town. You can reach him via the harbor promenade. The path leads you past the marinas of Marina Ibiza and the hotspot for the rich Marina Botafoch.
Even today, the Far de Botafoch (Catalan) guides ships into the safe harbor with its light signals and sound signals. The lighthouse is inhabited by the lighthouse keeper and his family, making it the last inhabited lighthouse in the Balearic Islands. Unfortunately, that's why it's not open to visitors, but there is a path around the lighthouse. From there you have a wonderful view of the Dalt Vila and its city wall. With good visibility you can also see the neighboring island of Formentera.
A walk to the Faro de Es Botafoc (Spanish) is particularly recommended at sunset. At dusk, the old town of Eivissa looks like a painting.ibizabook.com/der-leuchtturm-von-botafoch

This place invites you to linger and philosophize, because here you look not only in the harbor Marina Botafoc, but on the open sea and up to Formentera. Here you can see the ferries, yachts and cruise ships entering the harbor. Depending on the weather, you can also feel the surf on the rocks here.
