From this bascule drawbridge you'll have beautiful views of various types of boats on the water, including larger ferries. If you manage to see the bridge opening it's quite impressive.

The 17th Street Causeway Bridge was rebuilt in 2001 at a cost of over $62,000,000. The sight of the opening drawbridge is quite impressive - both from the car on the street and (and even more so) from a boat in the water. On the Fort Lauderdale Water-Taxi Tour, Stop #4 is directly under this bridge.
