Every year, on the Sunday after July 22, pilgrims go to the hermitage of St. Mary Magdalene in a penitential procession. This is a traditional service in honor of this saint, who, according to the Bible, was a faithful disciple of Jesus.
The path leading to the hermitage in the forest guarantees silence and beautiful views. The path from Kalwaria is approximately 1 km.

Hiking

I was in this place several times in August, during the main Calvary celebrations before August 15. There is a folk custom that whoever walks along the road to this hermitage for the first time walks backwards, led by one of his friends, for example a girl by a boy. You must not look back. It's a lot of fun, because the leader often deliberately steers the person through roots or other terrain obstacles. Of course, it was all for fun, not to hurt anyone by stopping them from falling.
