Ohiya railway station has a beautiful rural setting. This quaint station opened in 1893 and is used by hikers and cyclists who visit the nearby Horton Plains. Ohiya station has an elevation of 1774 m (5820 ft) and is the third highest railway station in Sri Lanka.
