Only a few contemporary witnesses on both sides of the border will still remember that mountain huts on the Zwercheck used to offer refreshments and accommodation. Only ruins are still reminiscent of the "Juranek hut" at that time.

The Pilsen Ski Club built a log cabin in 1922, which was named after the pioneer of skiing in the Bohemian Forest, Arno Juranek.
This hut burned down on December 22, 1931, and a new mountain house was inaugurated on October 28, 1932.
Supposedly this mountain house was destroyed by soldiers of the German Wehrmacht at the end of the Second World War!
For the third and last time, another hut was built after the war, which was opened on December 23, 1945.
