A long and fairly taxing ascent when carrying big packs up sometimes well trodden paths and other times muddy or difficult to see paths. Steep and tricky in places from Fern Burn Hut it can take 1 to 3 hours depending on pace to get to this high point.
From here it's a long and steep walk down, slippy in places care MUST be taken along the ridge.
