...... In 1920, a few men in the Bergzabern local group of the Palatinate Forest Association came together to form a group of Böhammerjäger. The targets of their blowguns were now artificial, so it was a kind of shooting club that existed until 1939. After the Second World War, the Böhammer-Jagdclub e. was founded in Bergzabern in 1948. V. was founded, which still exists today and has set itself the goal of maintaining the tradition of hammer hunting when shooting at artificial targets and preserving it for posterity.
