There are several paths that run along the southern ridge of the crater of Lake Albano. This is the one that remains highest and closest to the summit road of Albano Laziale. The surface is beaten and you can walk without much effort. In summer the branches of the trees hide the view of the lake while in winter you can see it through the bare branches. Walking from Albano Laziale in the direction of Via dei Laghi (eastwards) you reach some interesting little caves, the Palazzolo caves. A nice excursion to do with the family.
