The refuge area is very beautiful. The climb is not feasible with a loaded touring bike. I had to detach the bags and push the bike by hand.

I can only agree with Paul! The climb after a day's hike is really strenuous, but it's worth it. The place is very popular and you're very likely to meet hikers.
A tip: at the beginning of the path there is a drinking water dispenser provided by local residents and you're welcome to help yourself. Unfortunately, the rainwater is not drinkable. We also spotted moose droppings in the immediate vicinity 🫎 😊
