Starting point is the station "Sandiaoling" on the * Pingxi branch line. The "Sandiaoling Waterfall Trail" is one of the most beautiful tours I have done in Taiwan. Unlike many other trails, there are not these monotonous "Chinese stairs" here. The waterfalls are wonderful.

Many hikers go the same way back to the "Sandiaoling Railway Station". Alternatively, as I did, you can continue to Shifen. Partly the way then but from country road, but where almost no cars are traveling. I would handle it again like this: O)

    * Pingxi branch line = 13km long narrow gauge line from Keelung to the former mining area to Jingtong. The trains can be used quite regularly with the Easycard. Coming from Taipei (Main Station) you first drive to "Ruifang Station" and then change to the trains of the Pingxi branch line.
