Rosalía de Castro Park in Lugo is a special and emblematic place. It was created at the beginning of the 20th century and remains a symbolic and magical enclave for citizens. It was born as the first large park in Lugo, open to all ages and social classes. Its original design, by municipal architect Ramiro Sainz Martínez, included two layouts: one in the upper part and another in the rugged area known as “Costas do Parque”. The works were completed in 1927 under the direction of architect Eloy Maquieira.
