The hall church was built in 1904/05 in neo-Gothic style. It has a cross-shaped floor plan, the church tower in the west and a choir with a five-sided end in the east. The tower has ashlar plaster instead of corner stones and a transverse gable roof from which a delicate roof turret rises. Three steel bells from 1922 ring in the tower. The tower and the nave are supported by buttresses. During a renovation in the 1970s, the interior was divided into two floors to create space for community rooms on the lower floor. Furthermore, the choir will be separated by a wall and the sacristy to the south of the choir will be removed. The choir room with the neo-Gothic church furnishings such as the altar, pulpit and baptismal font is still in use today. The church services take place upstairs. An organ by Friedrich Ladegast has stood in Oberndorf since 1906. It was replaced in 1975 by an organ with 7 registers, divided into a manual and a pedal, which was built by Richard Kreutzbach in 1886 for the Wilchwitz village church and was moved to the church in Oberndorf by laypeople.
