Tips
The panorama, which I had already seen in photos of the Schafkogelsee, finally drew us here. It's the Totes Gebirge mountain range, which beautifully frames and reflects in the artificial reservoir at over 1,800 meters above sea level. A hiking trail with plenty of seating leads around the lake. The lake also offers a beautiful view from the Schafkogel peaks above.
