I was fascinated to see this area up close, from the maps I was interested to see what it was and how it fitted into the landscape.

Turned out to be an oyster farm, which makes sense as just down the road in Whitstable every other bar/restaurant sold local oysters.

Up close you could not see much, there was the odd glimpse of water wheels and water channels but not much else.
