Cobblestone streets, old chestnut trees along the wayside, and century-old buildings behind wrought-iron fences: life is tranquil in the old, listed fishing village of Rahnsdorf. It is idyllically situated at the confluence of the Spree River and Müggelsee. The Slavic village was first documented in 1375. Around 100 years later, it was granted fishing rights – and still holds them today.
