The single-nave "Iglesia de San Juan Bautista" - one of the oldest churches on La Palma - is located in the center of Puntallana. The church was built in the shape of a Latin cross at the beginning of the 16th century and extensively reconstructed in the 18th century.

In 1994, the church building was declared an architectural historical cultural asset by the Canary Islands government.
