The moor is almost 50 years under conservation. The western 250m of the way through the moor were unfortunately completely destroyed by heavy forest vehicles. The eastern part is very nice if you make it over the makeshift bridge.

The western part is easy to walk again up to the hut, then a 70 cm wide moat must be crossed on a log, this requires good balance and a long stick to hold on to. The south-eastern part offers some bog ponds and the gagel shrub, which I have only seen here; must be very beautiful to flower. (April May?).
