On the north coast of the Lycian rocky island of Kekova, you can see the sunken city on the seabed. The city was probably an important trading center, but was destroyed by an earthquake in the 2nd century and partially sank into the sea.

In the crystal clear water you can see the outlines of the sunken houses of Kekova. Parts of the former settlement can still be seen on the island.
