With a capacity of approximately 11.000 people, it is the best-preserved theatre in the region. It is pure Roman theatre with its architectural features.

The Roman theatre was completely built on the much smaller Hellenistic theatre. Horseshoe form cavea has 29 rows of seating. The cavea is divided into 13 kerkides. The cavea is placed on two storey vaulted galleries in the east and, west directions, and in the central axis of the cavea is built just on the natural rocky hill.

Myra theatre has the most decorated scene building in the region. The scene building is included; garlands, Ganimedes, Eagle, Mithras, Medusa, various masks, sirens and menads. The existence of the reliefed frieze on the exterior of the scene is seen here for the first time in the region. There are many gods and other figures in these reliefs.
