Hiking
The MehlWelten Museum on the Amtsberg in Wittenburg is a culturally historical collection of flour sacks. With around 3,100 exhibits from 130 countries, it is considered the most extensive of its kind.
The neoclassical building was built in 1848 on the Amtsberg, the original site of a medieval castle and palace complex, and was used as the Wittenburg district court until 1945, later as a Soviet command post, and then as a school until 2007. Under the direction of the architect Carsten Falkenberg and the curator Angela Jannelli, the interior was renovated from 2005 to 2008.
