It is excellent testimony to the Expressionist building design and architecture of the late 1920s in Mecklenburg.
Striking are the expressionistic stylistic elements on the façade, the centrally located outside staircase with the dominating entrance portal decorated with artificial stone and the decorative oriel above it. The tiled hipped roof is richly decorated
Brick tower crowned with a spherical cap in the central axis.
The building was designed by Aal Bentrup from Schwerin.
It was renovated and restored in 1992.
