Tiergartenspitze Summit

Very nice view of the Reschensee, the main ridge of the Alps and the glaciers.

When the visibility is good, you'll be treated to a magnificent panoramic view into the distance, including Lake Reschen. The final few meters to the summit are quite steep. On my previous tour, it had rained heavily and heavily a few days before, making the ground very soft and slippery. I was glad I had my hiking poles with me. The hiking guidebook said it was moderately difficult and accessible for almost everyone. I wouldn't agree with that. I had the climb to Piz Lad in mind; the Tiergartenspitze is something else entirely.

I recommend sturdy footwear over the ankle, because the path at the top is sometimes very steep and not always well secured.
