Cycling
The road is a dead end by car so there is not much of those which makes it great for biking. Col de la Charmette is a good place to start a hike either to La Grande Sure or le Charmant Som.

Great atmosphere on the way up from Saint-Laurent-du-Pont: road closed to motor vehicles, in fairly good condition, it goes easily with a "hiker" bike.
