The bridge over the Oder in Krapkowice was built in 1896 as a railway crossing on the local Prudnik - Gogolin line. It was destroyed during the flood in 1997. Due to the minor importance of the Krapkowice - Gogolin section (passenger traffic was suspended already in 1991, and freight traffic was concentrated on the remaining section of line 306), it was decided not to reconstruct the railway crossing. Another interesting fact may be Operation "Bridges", which started the Third Silesian Uprising, Polish saboteurs from the Wawelberg Group planned to blow up the railway bridge in Krapkowice. The building survived the attack; only the tracks were damaged.
