Hitler stayed in Gogolin from - according to various sources - from September 12 (or 13) to September 19, 1939. Apart from Hitler, they came to Gogolin on the "America". Jodl, Keitel, Blaskowitz, von Brauchitsch and Bormann. It was in Gogolin that Hitler gave the order to bomb Warsaw (every morning he left Gogolin in his three-axle Mercedes to nearby Ligota Dolna, from where he flew to watch the progress of aggression against Poland). It was also in Gogolin that Hitler learned about the USSR's aggression against Poland on September 17, 1939, of which Joachim von Ribbentrop informed him personally. The photo was taken in today's Gogolin district - Karłubiec (then Karlhorst). Hitler's special train stopped on the Gogolin-Prudnik railway track, just beyond the forest line
