The Shrine of the Most Holy Mother of Divine Providence is located in Pancole, five kilometers from San Gimignano. On the site where the church now stands, there was a building on which Pier Francesco Fiorentino created a fresco at the end of the 14th century: Virgin Breastfeeding the Child. The building was then neglected over the years until it was covered with brambles.
