Small and characteristic village in the Val di Cornia, with just over 400 inhabitants, Sassetta is certainly one of the Tuscan beauties to visit during your holidays.
It presents itself with a harsh and rude appearance, perched on a rock, but you immediately perceive the sweet soul of this town surrounded by woods inhabited by loggers, woodcutters and hunters, strong men with tender hearts.
Lovers of wild land and uncontaminated landscapes will be left speechless, fascinated by a village from times gone by, without too many frills, as real as the intense scents that come from the surrounding countryside.
The beauty of the place is also due to the context in which it is inserted: try the magical experience of walking on foot or on horseback, of making mushrooms and chestnuts in the Poggio Neri Forest Park, where in the shade of holm oaks and chestnut trees you will find trekking and biking routes with picnic areas… ideal for those who love organizing outdoor activities.
