The Chinchón castle, also called de los Condes, is a 16th century fortress owned by the counts of Chinchón. For centuries the regency of the county was carried out here.
The current fortress stands on a previous building, from the 15th century. The castle has suffered several fires and destruction during different wars, especially during the War of Independence, when the damage it currently shows occurred.
